I’m so happy you enjoyed it – I love your blog and am so glad to have helped in even a small way! Thanks for checking in.

HI Vivi! So glad to see you here and I am always honored another writer is inspired by a post. I think we all need reminders now and then and as bloggers, we are lucky to be able to gain inspiration from other sites and use it to move forward. Hope to see you again here!!

  2. Jen,
    Thank you,
I really connected and understood where you were coming from… My daughter and I were talking the other day… and I asked her not to put a picture on her blog… the place was too close to where she actually lives and its not a big town. So she began telling me the importance of her blog was so to be truthful and learn about herself! That lead me to tell her I found the more I am blogging the more I am learning about myself.. I have said this has to be the best form of therapy ever…
There are alot of interesting blogs out there and I discover a few every day! It is so interesting, things I was unaware of…
I am also getting to know alot of people and it just feels good! Thanks for your article!
    Take care

HI Lisa! You were right – this was a brilliant response! Your comments were mistakenly spammed but I fixed that ASAP!! I love the story of your daughter and her need to tell the truth, but I agree that a photo is not needed. We need to balance safety with truth. I am feeling good about the people I’m meeting each day too – and you are one of the best!!!

  3. Write naked. I like that. Doubt my teenagers will, but maybe I’ll try it after they leave for school. 😉 kidding of course.

Great post, Jen. I needed to be reminded of this today. Especially the part about writing for the love of it and not because it is just another chore in a day full of chores to be done.

    Thanks.

HI Regina, I think that would bring writing to a whole new level!! Really glad you liked it – I think I needed to remind myself as I focus on word count and pushing out product!

Write naked! I love this. Even if it is really, really difficult sometimes. But you’re right – any time I sit down at the computer and feel stressed about writing, or try to “put out a product,” I make myself go do something else.

Hi Mamamash! Love your blog too – I think we def need to remind ourselves as writers to enjoy the journey. And you are so right – sometimes it’s SO difficult!

  5. I loved this story…and it really made me think>>>> I wrote you a brilliant response yesterday… Dont know what happened.. I am NOT responsible LOL for my computers malfunctions…heehee.
After reading your book…I feel like you put your heart and soul out there…

Great post, Jen! You are so right. Writing from the heart – THAT’S what it’s all about!

    I love this post.

I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was very young, but was too scared to put myself out there. Letting go of being self conscious, getting “naked” as it were, has been awesome. (It’s a fairly recent development)

I hope that others that are scared to let go and do what they love will see your post and stop holding back. 🙂

Thanks for those inspiring words because I think so many writers are scared of rejection and putting themselves out there. I know I was – somehow you need to push yourself and recognize your worth. I’m so glad you are putting yourself out there and sharing your talent!

  8. tammy ramey says:

what a great post. thanks for the inspiration.

  9. From someone who has seen your writing grow. I don’t write naked I just make words, as my granddaughter would say. For me the blog is for sharing this madness called writing.
