The Second Time Around…

    Excellent!
    and happy birthday to Josh

  2. Happy birthday to Josh. The second time for me was weird. It was a military hospital. Need I say more. Of course I didn’t learn and went for a third.

  3. Beautiful post, Jennifer! And Happy Birthday Josh!

I wasn’t able to have children, but I know this is true about relationships. I was gutted when my first serious relationship ended. But the love I found afterwards with the man I married is very, very different, yet even more special. It’s going to last. The funny thing was, with the first guy we spent a lot of time talking about the relationship, discussing whether we were soulmates, “meant to be together”. With my husband, there’s no need to talk about it, we both just know, with that quiet bone deep sureness. I’m a very lucky woman.

The character thing is a challenge. So many infatuations that burn out before they become a completed story. So many stories that don’t quite work out and need to be put aside for a time while I work on something else. Yet the whole time I’m involved with other characters while I’m “on a break” I feel unfaithful to the first set. Only another writer can understand.

HI Autumn, Thanks so much for visiting! You said everything beautifully – especially when you find the right one there is suddenly no need to analyze or categorize the relationship. I love your blog!
