A PERFECT DAY…

  1. Aimee Carson says:

Every day that ends with sunshine, me on the porch enjoying the view, and a glass of wine in my hand. Fortunately I have lots of those!

Love it – that is what I’m talking about!!

  3. I had some setbacks this past year which makes it difficult to have a perfect day. But when my three year old comes up to me and says, “I’m going to give you a kiss.” Why? I ask him. “Because I love you.” I don’t think anything could be more perfect!

    Thanks for the blog post!

So glad to see you hear and I am truly sorry it’s been a difficult time. You described a perfect moment though – there is nothing in the world like that kind of love, and it puts everything into perspective. Even a few perfect moments can make up a great day. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Beautiful, Jen. Any timely in my case. Today is the first school-free day of the summer and my daughter just came in and asked me to spend a good bit of it with her. But i had other plans. I was going to write, cook, clean house and take care of some must-do paperwork items. Now I’m rethinking my priorities.

And I sympathize with your hubby about the taco. That has happened to me more than once – and I’m the cook!

  5. Hey Jen,
I never grow tired of reading your stories….
those are good, good times… the hardest thing is seeing the beauty when our bodies, souls and minds are so exhausted and wrapped up in day life… I loved this story… it is everyday life and you found the rainbows…
    thanks.

  6. Finally amde it. My day on Saturday was attending a granddaughter’s dance recital. Just love those things and surprisingly she did beautifully but then she’s a perfectionist. They stopped by afterwards so she could thank me for the flowers and also to complete the picture of the awaited Party of Five as she calls the family. The two new grandchildren will be arriving in early July.

These are my favorite days. Just watching the kids experience life through kiddo eyes, and getting to be a part of that perspective again.
